General Federation of Scouts and Girl Guides
The General Federation of Scouts and Guides is a voluntary organization responsible for the Scouting and Girl Guides Movement in Egypt. The Scouting Movement began in Egypt in 1914 and was registered with the World Scout Organization, Geneva, in 1922. It was registered with the Arab Scouting Organization in 1954 and the Girl Guides Movement was established in Egypt in 1925. The Egyptian Scouting Association is the General Federation of Scouts and Girl Guides. Its members include four central associations: boys, navy, air and guides, each of which has branches in every governorate in the republic.
