Four major Egyptian and Arab businessmen hold about 85% of Delta Bank shares. Hamza al-Khouli, Sayed al-Gohari, al-Ka'aki and Abdul-Aziz Sulaiman. The rest are divided between individual investors, Arab Investment Company and Orient Insurance Company. The four shareholders approved the sale of their contributions to Delta Bank and the Arab Investment Company in Bahrain preferred to retain its share while Al-Sharq Insurance was not yet disclosed. The sale of the delta is a qualitative development in the sale of Egyptian banks. In the past years, sales have focused on the joint bank, in which the state contributes a major share and has not approached private banks such as the Delta.
