The Monto  Greco - Roman Temple (also the Monthu Temple, Montju, or Mento) is an Egyptian temple dedicated to the cult of Mento. The site is located 5 km (3.1 mi) northeast of Karnak, which is located inside Luxor. Madamud was excavated by French archaeologist Fernand Besson de la Roc from 1925 to postwar, and revealed many buildings including a temple dedicated to the montou. This temple is an old sanctuary and consists of an open forum with a tower and a combination of two hills that houses chapels of worship.
