King Farouk I married Queen Farida in 1938 AD. On the occasion of the royal wedding, the Egyptian government recommended minting gold coins to the value twenty thousand Egyptian pounds divided as follows:


 1000 coins of five pounds each , to the value of 5000 pounds ,each weighing 42.5 grams

5000 coins of one pounds each , to the value of 5000 pounds ,each weighing 8.5 grams 

10,000 coins of fifty piastres each ,to the value of 5000 pounds ,each weighing 4.25 grams

25.000 coins of twenty piastres each , to the value of 5000 pounds ,each weighing 1.7 grams

note : all the pieces were minted in Royal mint - London (UK) in 1939 AD although they bare insciption of the wedding year 1938 AD
