Slalom skiing is a form of glacier slope skiing that requires skiing between poles (gates) that come much closer to each other than in giant slalom skiing , Super G, or sloping racing , causing faster and shorter turns. Slalom skating may also refer to water skiing with one ski tool. As described in the Alps, the skater must pass around buoys on either side of the towing boat.
