Khorda is a Persian word meaning small or unimportant thing . both Turkish and Egyptian people used this name to denote the ancient metal tools . The word Khorda was also used to identify money with little value . hence Para was named Khorda Consequently the coin valuing ( 20 para ) was called ( 20 Khorda ) . The value of Khorda was reduced over time . In the year ( 1293 AH ) each ( 10 Khorda ) equaled ( 1 para ) the coin valuing ( one – fourth of the Qirsh ) was called ( 10 Khorda ) or ( 1 para ) where as the coin valuing ( one – twentieth of the Qirsh ) was called ( 20 Khorda ) or ( 2 para ) .
