Zakum Development Company (ZADCO) is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 1977 and is one of the leading national oil and gas companies in the UAE and the world.
The company said in a statement that it has held a number of activities and events, most notably the issuance of a commemorative dirham with the emblem of the company and the occasion on one of the faces of Zadco's successful march and a photo exhibition highlighting the most important stages of the company in thirty years in addition to a special ceremony for the company's employees.
The founding of ZADCO came as a fruit of the first fruits of the UAE when the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in November 1977 issued Law No. 9 establishing Zakum Field Development Company (ZADCO) to develop and operate the Upper Zakum field.
