This kind of ink was used for the first time in Egypt in 1978 and is still in use till now in the 5,10,20,50 and 100 pound bills in the form of small dots spread all over the paper . It was later used in the printing of the denomination both in numerals and letters when the Islamic designs were spread all over the paper . It is used also in the printing of the name of the Central Bank of Egypt in Arabic and English in the 100 pound bill only . That kind of ink was then used to print the denomination in numerals and the mask of Tut-Ankh-Amon in the 50 and 100 pounds bill only . The other denominations kept the previous way of use of the ink ( the dots )
