Ghanaian leader Kwame Nkrumah (September 21, 1909 - April 27, 1972) is one of the first African anti- colonialists , was the first president of Ghana's independent (July 1, 1960 - February 24, 1966) and first prime minister (March 6, 1957 - July 1, 1960), and the most prominent advocate African Unity and one of the founders of the Organization of African Unity before its unveiling in July 2002.
